Nikon shares have risen on rumors of the launch of a mirrorless camera. A report by Japanese financial paper Nikkei (Nihon Keizai Shimbum) suggested the company will launch a camera at a price of around $900-$1300. This was enough to prompt Nikon to take the unusual step of
issuing a statement saying it had not announced any such camera. Shares closed 10% higher than on September 6th, boosted by the rumors.
